Competitive Boards

Competitive boards must have a full set of chess pieces, no more, no less.

Competitive boards must be comprised of between 48-80 squares, must use a complete set of chess pieces. The pieces may not necessarily be placed in the traditional order but must be the same for both white and black. Competitive boards must also be symmetrical and evenly balanced in design for white and black sides. Competitive boards have been certified by the Beyond Chess Federation and approved for competitive play in Beyond Chess tournaments.
